Super Power

Soon after my Grandmother passed away, I started to hear stories from my mother and sisters about her extraordinary ability to soothe burns by merely whispering to the burned body part.  I was told that the ability was only passed down to women in the family, but the secret of how to do it could only be explained to the woman by a male family member.  So in essence, my grandmother had a superpower that I could understand yet could not possess. This group of paintings is an attempt to understand and advance the powers we all possess, yet tamper down in order to live in this mortal world.
